We Grow Food. We Grow Community. We Grow People.

Transforming Lives and Communities Through Fresh Food

Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture (TLW), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to engage the community in developing local food systems through education and food production. In addition, TLW demonstrates urban agriculture as a sustainable and economic solution for helping people to eat and live well.
TLW is the region’s largest, most urban farming organization. TLW’s garden sites host more than 4,000 visitors and volunteers annually. Programming includes its Urban Grower Training Program, Young Grower Program, Summer Camps, Gardening Workshops, Aquaponics Research Center, Educational Tours and Programs, Community and Senior Gardens, and the production of over 25,000 lbs of food.
Since its inception in 2006, TLW has used its expertise and resources to demonstrate how food can be a bridge across diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences to build better communities. Our urban farms utilize natural, organic and sustainable techniques that enhance the environment and improve health. However, it is our education and outreach programs for youth and adults that distinguish TLW from other urban agricultural organizations in the area.
Our financial model leverages earned revenue (from such sources as market, restaurant and community supported agriculture (CSA) sales) with tax deductable philanthropic contributions and support from our community.
